The XML DAS currently has the following core functions:

• MKCOL - create collection

• PUT - write resource

• CHECK - parse or validate XML resource

• HEAD - meta data of existing collection or resource

• GET - read resource

• LIST - hierarchical (catalog) query

• SELECT - value query based on property indexes

• INFO - system data query

• FREEZE - disable further PUT/MKCOL for collection

• DELETE - delete collections or resources

• INDEX:

• CREATE - create propery index

• DESCRIBE - get the definition of a property index

• DROP - drop property index

• INSERT - attach properties to a resource

• GET - read properties of a resource

• PACK - pack resources of a collection

• UNPACK - unpack resources of a collection
